ROLE PURPOSE

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive leader to become The Arch Company's new Head of Asset Management - East London. Covering our east London portfolio, which includes Hackney and Tower Hamlets, you will be responsible for developing and bringing a team together to deliver short-, medium- and long-term asset management strategies. The successful candidate will have a track record of identifying value enhancing opportunities and working collaboratively with colleagues to implement these. You will also be responsible for managing an Asset Manager and Head of Property Management.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop and implement the short, medium, and long-term strategy for the estate.
  • Provide leadership and clear direction to all colleagues working on delivering the strategy.
  • Line management of an Asset Manager and the Head of Property Management East London who will work with you to deliver the portfolio's targets.
  • Ensure delivery of Property Management initiatives including proactive management of the estate and any common services provided.
  • Co-ordinate and drive business as usual activities across other departments - Professional Services, Lettings, Development, Finance etc - to deliver maximum value from the estate.
  • Take ownership of all estate metrics, including rent roll, ERVs (Estimated Rental Values), occupancy rates, and other relevant performance indicators.
  • Manage and nurture key customer relationships to maximise growth opportunities, customer satisfaction and company reputation.
  • Collaborate with the Finance/Credit Control teams to develop strategies for resolving significant customer arrears.
  • Identify and implement value-added initiatives beyond routine operations, such as lease regears, surrenders and re-lettings, ad-hoc transactions, and terminations.
  • Work closely with the leasing team on larger and more complex transactions involving Capital expenditures and planning, as necessary.
  • Assist the Acquisition and Disposal teams as required, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Liaise with external valuers when necessary to ensure accurate and up-to-date property valuations.
  • Represent The Arch Company in local Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) and other stakeholder groups.
  • Take on any other related responsibilities necessary to deliver the objectives as the role may require.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrable experience leading teams to deliver shared goals.
  • Experience of successfully handling complex matters.
  • Comfortable utilising a data-driven approach to decision-making, leveraging key metrics to assess asset performance and identify value-add opportunities.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
