What you'll be doingYou will be accountable for the development and delivery of DLG's Marketing strategy, plan, execution and ROI for an assigned Product line. A key senior member of the Product Business Units and the Customer Marketing SLT, owning performance marketing spend and delivery for that Product across all Customer Marketing accountabilities.
You'll be working closely with the Customer Marketing leadership team, the Business Unit leadership team and other senior business leaders. You'll also be leading all marketing campaign activity for the Product line so will collaborate with specialist delivery teams within the Customer Marketing function to deliver the best outcomes for the business.
- Accountable for the Product marketing strategy, plans, marketing briefs, campaign delivery, ROI and other agreed KPIs.
- Accountable for the Product marketing budget and spend in line with agreed annual forecasting and plans (up to £15m).
- A key member of the Business Unit leadership team providing marketing and customer insight and challenge to inform Product plans, providing guidance to customer journey development and delivery, providing market insight and analysis appropriate to the strategy and representing the Product, providing appropriate challenge, in key Customer Marketing forums.
- Accountable for marketing decisions at Business Unit level.
- Providing customer and marketing input into Product strategies and plans, including budget proposals, key market and customer insight, broader marketing strategy and analysis, customer segmentation and targeting recommendations etc.
- An experienced financial services leader with broad marketing, customer and digital expertise.
- Deep understanding of the general insurance distribution and competitive landscape, the commercial levers, profitability metrics and regulatory requirements.
- Able to build broad and effective marketing strategies over a 5-year horizon, focused on meeting customer and commercial goals to maximise marketing return on investment.
- Is astute in DLG's commercial model, P&Ls and financial planning and forecasting process to both recommend strategic commercial initiatives and build robust marketing forecasts.
- Senior level generalist, excellent senior stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, able to represent all marketing areas of responsibility in senior level meetings.
