WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, in our London office.
About this opportunity:
An excellent opportunity to lead a specialist team implementing the Change Risk policy and objectives that will influence how change is delivered in the largest banking transformation in the UK.
As Head of Change Execution Risk you will analyse and evaluate the Operational Risk and control environment, in line with the Group's Enterprise Risk Management Framework. This role collaborates with stakeholders, and all lines of defence, across the organisation to support successful delivery of our change agenda.
What will you be doing:- Own, craft, and implement Change Execution Risk policies and appetite, including Group tolerances and thresholds. Lead the understanding and support adoption throughout the organisation, including ongoing management and continuous monitoring.
- Define control objectives for the management of Change Execution Risk.
- Support the development of the Group's Change Framework, which provides the foundation for safe and effective change delivery.
- Monitor the efficiency of the design of control measures to ensure they are achieving the control objectives.
- Collaborate with control owners and Chief Control Offices to implement control standards and objectives. Work with all lines of defence to improve control standards and embedding.
- Lead the development and implementation of the risk and control oversight plan to assess risk assessments and the efficiency of controls operated by risk and control owners.
- Assist in developing a proactive and data-driven monitoring system for Change Execution risks and controls. Collaborate with Business Unit control offices to provide independent challenge to risk decisions.
- Work directly and proactively with all lines of defence to drive control improvements.
- Assist and oversee the assessment of Operational Risk events and breaches, including root cause control identification and actions to remediate.

What you'll need:- Proven ability to assess and manage risks associated with change in financial services. Knowledge of policy, compliance, controls, assurance, and risk-reward balance.
- Solid background in the domain of change, with knowledge across key elements of the agile delivery methodology, tooling and outcome focused delivery.
- Familiarity with current Operational Risk frameworks and technology used in financial and non-financial services is important for this role in a specialist risk team.
- Experience of supporting group-level policy and setting risk-appetite, and able to set control objectives and performance indicators.
- Experience of developing and implementing a risk and control oversight plan.
- Ability to understand and assimilate different sources of data and complex information to support effective problem solving that leads to relevant conclusions and recommendations. Leverages strong analytical skills to assess.
