Job Description

Our client is a financial services institution, seeking an experienced Head of Compliance to join their team in Paris. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that the company adheres to all regulatory requirements, while promoting a culture of compliance across the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities and professional associations, including managing dashboards, information centralisation, and preparation for regulatory visits.
  • Oversee the application of compliance policies, ethics standards, and risk prevention measures. Ensure market integrity and legal compliance.
  • Analyse financial, legal, environmental, and reputational risks. Update risk mapping and implement effective control points to mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Centralise, analyse, and summarise incident reports, providing regular updates and recommendations to senior management.
  • Ensure adherence to the company's code of conduct and identify potential conflict of interest scenarios.
  • Collaborate with the legal department and senior management to interpret and implement relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of governance frameworks, compliance methodologies, and internal controls.
  • Support and lead compliance audits, inspections, and investigations conducted by regulatory authorities.
  • Oversee compliance plans, first-level control checks, and regulatory reporting to ensure ongoing adherence to financial market rules.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory statements and reports to bodies such as the AMF and ACPR. Ensure the firm stays updated with changes in prudential regulations.
  • Work closely with other departments on cross-functional projects, including automation of internal controls and compliance with MIF reporting requirements.
  • Act as the point of contact for Tracfin and collaborate with the Banque de France on anti-money laundering efforts.

Requirements:

  • Possession of an RCSI card is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field, ideally with experience in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of compliance principles, regulatory obligations, and financial market operations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills with the ability to provide clear advice to stakeholders. Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure is essential.
  • Fluent in English and French with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
