Job Description

Salary: up to £95 - £100,000 DOE

Work Life Balance: Hybrid, London or Northampton

The Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing strong partnerships with current and new travel insurance companies, ensuring mutually beneficial relationships, and driving business growth within the insurance sector. You will act as the primary point of contact between our company and the insurers, fostering collaboration, identifying opportunities for expansion, and enhancing the overall customer experience.

What will you do?

Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key insurance providers and stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the company and insurers, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor and evaluate insurer performance and satisfaction, proactively addressing concerns and opportunities for improvement.
  • Negotiate and finalise partnership agreements with insurers, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with insurers, including new products, services, and market expansion.
  • Develop and implement strategies for acquiring and retaining insurance partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored solutions that meet insurer needs and drive revenue growth.

Strategic Planning and Analysis:

  • Work closely with executive leadership to define the strategic direction for insurer relationships and partnerships.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay ahead of industry trends, competitive landscape, and insurer needs.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to enhance business outcomes and inform strategic decisions.

Contract Negotiation & Management:

  • Lead contract negotiations with insurers, ensuring favorable terms and agreements.
  • Manage the renewal process and ensure compliance with contractual terms and commitments.
  • Track performance metrics and ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal brand tribes to ensure successful partnership execution.

Industry Leadership:

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activities to position the company as a leader in insurer relations.

Essentials:

  • Experience in business development or strategic partnerships, with a focus on insurer relationships. Ideally from a Travel Insurance background.
  • Proven track record in managing and growing relationships with key insurance providers.
  • Experience in contract negotiation, partnership management, and revenue growth within the insurance industry.
  • Strong understanding of the insurance industry, market trends, and regulatory landscape. Preferably gained within Travel Insurance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
