As the Head of Maintenance Development, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and performance of the department, ensuring that all initiatives align with the business area's objectives. You will empower your team to translate strategy into action, creating a supportive environment where they can thrive.

Your key focus will be anchoring the Maintenance Strategy Governance across the organization, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Additionally, you will ensure that the team upholds Vattenfall's core values, consistently delivering safe, reliable, compliant, and efficient operations.

Your role / what will you do?

As the Head of Maintenance Development, you will take full accountability for the timely and high-quality delivery of all department initiatives. Your leadership will drive the performance and growth of your team by fostering strong stakeholder relationships, efficiently managing resources, and ensuring ongoing employee development. You will ensure that business requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and integrated into relevant contracts. Additionally, you will oversee the development and adherence to process management, acting as the process manager for all Maintenance Development operations. By embedding Integrated Operations targets into the department's goals, you will align the team's efforts with broader organizational objectives, ensuring continued success and operational excellence.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

Maintenance Development:

  • Deliver 25+ years of maintenance plans in SAP, focusing on efficiency, standardization, and compliance.
  • Lead FMECA model development.
  • Oversee the creation of master data and technical compliance registers.
  • Develop strategies for obsolescence management, including equipment and spare parts.

Leadership:

  • Leading a team of 6-8 Maintenance Engineers, organised internationally.
  • Lead and inspire the team by providing clear frameworks that empower individuals to take ownership of their work and reach their full potential.
  • Foster growth and success by regularly discussing objectives, training, and career development, ensuring alignment with both company goals and personal growth.
  • Lead by example, embodying Vattenfall's core values, Code of Conduct, and Integrity, while driving alignment with the company's purpose and strategic objectives.

Location: Amsterdam, Kolding or London

Qualifications

Your profile / who are you?

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of international leadership experience in the energy or technical sector, with a preference for offshore wind.
  • Deep knowledge of maintenance and reliability engineering is a plus.
  • A positive, proactive, and structured mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Proven experience as a people manager, with strong soft skills and a focus on team development.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence, build relationships, and present confidently across diverse cultures and locations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with SAP, program/project management, and technical tools is desirable.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
