Responsibilities

1. Lead the Physics department, providing strong leadership and guidance to colleagues to ensure exceptional teaching and learning.

3. Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students' curiosity and passion for Physics.
4. Monitor and evaluate the performance of students and teachers, implementing strategies for improvement as needed.
5. Collaborate with colleagues across various departments to promote interdisciplinary learning and cross-curricular connections.
6. Communicate regularly with parents, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
7. Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in the field of Physics education and incorporate innovative teaching methodologies.
8. Contribute to departmental and whole-school meetings, actively participating in the strategic planning and continuous improvement of the school.

Minimum Requirements

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Physics or a related field; a postgraduate degree is highly desirable.
2. Proven experience teaching Physics at the secondary level, with a track record of achieving outstanding results.
3. Strong leadership abilities, with previous experience in a leadership role within an educational setting.
4. Thorough knowledge of the national curriculum and examination requirements.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
6. Effective organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple responsibilities.
