Job Description

Monitoring: Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, AWS CloudWatch, OpenTracing

CI/CD: Jenkins, ArgoCD

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the CTO and executive leadership team to define our technology vision and strategy.
  2. Drive the technical due diligence process to identify and evaluate strategic opportunities.
  3. Set the standard for code quality and efficiency. Writes highly efficient and optimized code, setting examples for others.
  4. Oversee the architecture, design, and implementation of our platform, balancing short-term deliverables with long-term goals.
  5. Guide and mentor a talented team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  6. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive our competitive edge.
  7. Partner with product management to align technology development with market demands and business objectives.
  8. Contribute to strategic decisions around product roadmap, partnerships, and market positioning.
  9. Implement robust software development practices, data management strategies, and cloud infrastructure solutions.
  10. Scale our technology infrastructure to support rapid growth and a growing customer base.
  11. Leverage your expertise in deploying complex mathematical models, simulations, and algorithms to address real-world challenges in the sports industry.
  12. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards.
  13. Ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of the technical systems and infrastructure.
  14. Establish and implement information security management strategies to protect the organization's systems and data.

Requirements:

  1. Proven track record in senior technical leadership roles (e.g., VP of Engineering, Head of tech) ideally within a startup environment.
  2. Deep understanding of cloud-based SaaS architecture and its application in scaling high-performance platforms.
  3. Hands-on experience with programming languages, and proficiency in modern technologies.
  4. Advanced degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, or related fields.
  5. A passion for technology and innovation, with a drive to solve complex technical challenges.
  6. Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to manage and collaborate within a remote, diverse team.

Interview Process:

  1. Online Aptitude Test (Max time of 30 Minutes)
  2. Remote video screening with our Talent Acquisition Team
  3. Remote video interview with 3 x Team Members (45 mins each, not separate days)
  4. 24-72 hour feedback loops throughout process

Post Interview Process:

  1. Feedback call on successful interview
  2. Offer released, followed by contract
  3. ID Check Via Zinc & 2 references from previous employers
