HGV Class 2 Driver

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and excellent driving skills, ensuring that all deliveries are executed efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations.

Responsibilities
Operate flatbed lorries to transport goods to various locations safely and efficiently.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents during transit.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road.
Provide excellent customer service by being professional and courteous during deliveries.
Strapping down of timber required.

Requirements
Valid UK driving licence with a category appropriate for operating flatbed lorries.
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items and securing loads.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Good communication skills for interacting with team members and customers effectively.
A commitment to maintaining a clean driving record.
Strapping down of timber experience.
