Job responsibilities

As the Hospital Director, you will take full ownership of the service, ensuring it operates to the highest standards of care, compliance, and operational efficiency. You will lead and inspire your team, maintain regulatory excellence, drive occupancy, and achieve financial and operational targets while prioritising the well-being of patients and staff.

What you'll be working:

Our standard working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. However, we understand the importance of a positive work-life balance, and therefore, if you require some flexibility to better suit your personal or professional needs, we encourage you to discuss this with us, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences where possible.

What you'll be doing:

  • Maintain registration and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (CQC) while upholding a culture of continuous improvement, making sure the service and all colleagues are always inspection ready.
  • Drive patient-centred care through comprehensive assessments and care plans.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of all ACG Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) making sure that all processes are adhered to and regularly monitored to ensure compliance.
  • Lead your team with a focus on professional development, engagement, and well-being, drawing on the ACG Leadership principles, and creating an environment where feedback is welcomed and acted upon.
  • Build relationships with commissioners, families, and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, staffing, and resource management.
  • Take responsibility for attaining and maintaining maximised bed occupancy, through appropriate marketing and referral processing.
  • Serve as an ambassador for Holybourne Hospital, raising its profile in the community.
  • Keep people safe from any harm and protect their human rights.

Person Specification Qualifications Experience
  • Proven management experience in health and social care, preferably in a CQC-regulated service.
  • Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of governance processes
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
