Hospital Operations Site Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the NPTS Service Group for a Service Manager within the Hospital Operation Division.
This role is diverse, fast-paced and plays a crucial role in operational success, ensuring day-to-day running of the hospital site across all disciplines and linking with key stakeholders.
The main base for the role will be at Neath Port Talbot Hospital, but cross-site cover may be required to support, if required, the Singleton Hospital Site. The individual will provide a high-quality service supporting Health & Safety, EPRR and site business, representing the Division in a range of Health Board working groups and meetings.
The role is critical in establishing positive relationships, solutions and pathways with the service areas, maintaining contract relationships and monitoring performance with the PFI contractor at NPTH.
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual, who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, is confident and professional, and can make key decisions at a high standard that will enable them to challenge, motivate, influence and inspire colleagues at all levels, supporting the NPTSSG vision for the hospital.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job- Responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of day-to-day designated services within the Division.
- Lead on policy development and implementation for designated area of responsibility.
- The effective management of establishment control within area of work.
- Provide effective leadership skills ensuring that the values of the Health Board are embedded within the team.
- As directed by the Division Manager, lead on specific service improvement projects.

Person Specification Qualifications & Knowledge- Master's degree or equivalent experience at senior management level within the NHS.
- Service Improvement qualification (Silver) or working towards.
- Proven history of effective operational delivery.
- Evidence of implementation service changes and developments to ensure that legal, professional and service requirements are met.
- Ability to work autonomously and equally effectively as part of a team.
- Evidence of managing change and service planning capabilities. Understanding of the requirements for managing a Quality System. Leading change and development.
- Full range of IT skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, ability to manage, motivate and develop team working.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership qualities and ability to plan and prioritise.
- Self-study and development and ability to concentrate frequently when under pressure and subject to interruptions.
- Innovative and well-organised and resilient to cope with people management issues on a day-to-day basis often with emotive and adversarial environment.
- Initiative-taking and committed to the service.
- Ability to manage under pressure and multitask to achieve objectives.
- Good verbal and written skills.
- Ability to listen.
- Ability to travel within geographical area.
- Able to work hours flexibly.
- Welsh Language Skills are desirable levels 1 to 5 in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in Welsh.
