We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Housing Manager on a temp to perm basis, paying 38k per annum. Our client's office is based in Liverpool where you will be required to attend throughout the week and will be travelling to various locations across Liverpool, Manchester and Lancashire to attend site visits. There is a degree of home working allowed for this role.
Your new role
- Coordination of housing management services including repairs, tenant relations, lease agreements, rents and health & safety compliance.
- Key point of contact for contractors, stakeholders and landlords as well as liaising with customers to ensure adequate support is in place to ensure tenancies are upheld
- Assisting with property leases, advertising vacancies, screening applicants, tenant sign-ups, negotiating leases with private landlords and RSLs
- Coordinating rent recovery policies, advising on breach of tenancies and supporting tenancy sustainment
- Liaising with landlords to review/agree new leasing agreements, reviewing rent/service charges and ensuring properties are managed in line with requirements
- Ensuring completion of site surveys, reporting on void management, rent arrears and complaints
- Advise other colleagues on various housing management issues such as rent arrears, ASB and other tenancy breaches
- Monitor work carried out by contractors and cleaning staff, ensuring standards are upheld and ensuring timely completion through risk asessments & inspections
- Proven experience of working for a social landlord or supported housing service with a good understanding of relevant housing legislation, property management processes, best practice and welfare benefits
- Experience of dealing with rent arrears, service charges, leasehold agreements and anti-social behaviour
- Understanding of health & safety regulations relating to housing & property management
- Driving licence with access to own vehicle, valid business insurance and the ability to commute between Liverpool, Manchester and Lancashire
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels including stakeholders
- Temp to perm contract
- Competitive salary with mileage reimbursement from office
- 37.5 hours per week
- Opportunity to work from home on occasion
