HR People Operations Specialist - Amsterdam

Location: Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Duration: 12 months + Extensions Possible

This is a *Amsterdam* based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working on their largest digital and technological transformation program.

Human Resource support for employees and managers for an assigned region/country/function. Responsible for providing a positive employee experience through effective resolution of queries and facilitating the processes relating to the employee journey from Hire to Termination, with the exclusion of recruitment activities. In providing the People administration, the Specialist People Operations contributes to a solid People foundation for both internal and external parties. In providing first line communication to employees in a customer-focused manner, the Specialist People Operations contributes to the employee experience for their region(s) or country (countries) supported.

Responsibilities include:

  1. HR Process Management: Administer personnel policies, document management, and ensure alignment with local employment laws.
  2. Data and System Management: Maintain employee records and administer the company's HR system (preferably Workday).
  3. Employee Support: Handle inquiries, assist with policy explanations, and ensure smooth coordination between HR and other departments.
  4. Onboarding and Training: Support onboarding for new hires and new HR team members, ensuring all processes are understood and followed.
  5. Payroll and Compliance: Manage payroll changes and conduct compliance audits to ensure timely, accurate processing.
  6. Communication and Problem-Solving: Communicate updates effectively, troubleshoot HR issues, and provide input on process optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 1+ year in HR at or 2+ years in a similar HR/customer-facing role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Workday, SAP, MS Office, and Google Suite.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, attention to detail, problem-solving, customer focus, and adaptability.
  • Additional Skills: Knowledge of local labor laws is an advantage, along with analytical thinking and stress tolerance.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Adherence to SLAs for payroll processing and response times.
  • Compliance with mandatory training and data quality audits.
  • High employee satisfaction and process accuracy.

This role is well-suited for someone with foundational HR knowledge and a keen interest in optimizing processes and enhancing the employee experience.
