Human Resources Manager (all genders)

Around a dozen luxury homes in Switzerland and France are part of Michel Reybier Hospitality. In the world-famous Zermatt, the hotel portfolio includes the traditional Mont Cervin Palace 5 , the trendy new Schweizerhof 4 , and the historic Monte Rosa 4 .
We are looking for a Human Resources Manager to start as soon as possible. He/she will be responsible for all matters related to personnel administration and will serve as the connection between management and employees.
Main tasks / duties
Support the Cluster HR Director in the daily HR operations in line with the
Administration & Compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records, including contracts, certifications, permits, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure full compliance with local labor laws, industry regulations, and company policies.
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including contract issuance, AHV registration, and exit documentation.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring data accuracy.
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Coordinate with the Payroll department for smooth execution and resolve salary-related inquiries.
- Ensure proper administration of benefits packages (pension, accident insurance, transportation allowances, etc.).
- Track overtime, leave balances, tax deductions, and compensation adjustments to maintain accuracy and fairness.
- Implement payroll automation solutions to enhance efficiency.
Employee Relation & Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Act as a mediator for internal disputes and grievances, collaborating with CHRD and HODs for resolutions.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives, including feedback mechanisms, well-being programs, and conflict resolution strategies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture through employee recognition and communication initiatives.
HR Strategy & Workforce Planning
- Assist CHRD in developing long-term HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with leadership on talent acquisition, retention strategies, and succession planning.
- Analyze workforce trends and forecast staffing needs, addressing seasonal adjustments and business growth.
- Support HR budgeting and cost optimization, ensuring efficient allocation of HR resources.
Performance Management & Talent Development
- Implement structured performance management systems including goal setting, performance reviews, and career progression plans.
- Guide HODs on performance improvement plans (PIPs) and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Work with leadership to create career development pathways and internal mobility programs.
- Establish a reward and recognition framework to motivate high performance.
HR Communication
- Act as the HR liaison for HODs, addressing team concerns, compliance, and operational needs.
- Facilitate regular HR update meetings with department heads to ensure strategic alignment.
- Provide guidance on labor laws, best practices, and policy updates.
- Support employee surveys, internal events, and engagement programs to enhance workplace culture.
Training & Development
- Identify skills gaps and recommend tailored training programs to address them.
- Organize workshops, certifications, and e-learning initiatives, collaborating with MRH L&D team.
- Ensure mandatory compliance and safety training is completed on time.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of training programs, maintaining records of participation and hours completed.
HRIS Data & Management
- Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Generate real-time HR analytics reports on key metrics (absenteeism, turnover, retention, payroll costs, etc.).
- Utilize HR automation tools to streamline administrative tasks, payroll, and employee self-service options.
- Introduce AI-driven talent analytics to enhance hiring decisions and workforce planning.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor the HR team, ensuring clarity of responsibilities and ownership of tasks.
- Foster an open and supportive environment where employees feel comfortable sharing feedback.
- Encourage continuous learning, professional growth, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Set clear KPIs for HR team members and regularly track their performance against goals.
General
- Promote a collaborative and inclusive work culture, reinforcing the company's values.
- Participate in leadership meetings, committees, and industry seminars.
- Take a solution-oriented approach to HR projects and challenges.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Support the HR Team Members when required and carry out their duties in their absence.

Education
- Hospitality or Human Resources education
- Further education / certifications in human resources
- Fluent in German both oral and written
- Fluent in English both oral and written
- Other European languages are a plus
Experience
- Professional experience in recruitment, or administration.
- Experience in hospitality or human resources
- Knowledge of Swiss Labor Law.
- Solid PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, time tracking, HRIS etc.).
