Contract Role - IBM Mainframe SQL DBA/Database Administrator - Remote - 06 Months Initial - Inside IR35

Role Overview:
* Job Title: IBM Mainframe SQL DBA/Database Administrator
* Location: Remote
* Contract Type: Contract
* Duration: 06 months initially, with high potential for extension
* Sector: Telecom

Key Responsibilities:
* Manages and administers the physical and technical aspects of database systems, including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines and protection.
* Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, installation and maintenance of the database system, installation of upgrades and patches, performance and capacity monitoring/management, and security compliance.
* Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.
* Potential interaction with clients (internal or external) in order to understand and meet requirements for the delivery of services related to database products.

Required Skills & Experience:
* Must have completed an IBM Mainframe (DB2, IMS etc) to MS SQL database/data migration (or similar so DB2 to SQL)
* Must have experience with SSMA (SQL Server Migration Assistant) and ADF (Azure Data Factory)
* Ability to script in Python
* Ideally active SC Cleared but not essential
