Infrastructure Designer - Remote - Contract

• 6 months initial contract
• Inside IR35
• Up to £479 day rate
• Remote UK working

I have an initial 6 month contract available with fully remote working within the UK for a talented Infrastructure Designer to join a leading financial services client. You will be responsible for the delivery of Infrastructure designs, their standards and design patterns in the delivery if IT projects.

The Role:

• Creation & development of high level and detailed infrastructure designs
• Assessment of infrastructure costs within agreed solutions
• Creation of adoption & roadmaps, reusable design patterns & standards, hardware & software Standard Operating Environments (SOE)
• Development of operational and use case models
• Design Governance to ensure ongoing reliability and quality
• Consultancy to approved projects

What we are looking for:

• Experience of working in a multi-disciplined environment
• The ability to support the rationale behind financial cost estimates for a projects given scope
• Knowledge to support the design & architectural governance process, demonstrating technical experience and sound decision making skills
• The skills to support & deliver continuous improvement within the organisations capabilities
• Operating systems; Windows Server, Red Hat Linux
• Services; TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory
• Database; Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle
• Virtualisation; VMWare ESXi
• Cloud; Office 365, Azure, AWS
