Hays Accountancy & Finance are seeking a Financial Controller to join our client on a temporary / 6 month contract, working within a well-known and respected charity in Belfast dedicated to making a positive impact in the community.

Your new role

Managing the day-to-day financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Leading and developing a small finance team.

Providing strategic financial advice to the senior management team.

Overseeing the preparation of financial statements and audits.

Managing cash flow and financial risk.

What you'll need to succeed

A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.

Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the charity or non-profit sector.

Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
