Interim Head of Legal - 3-6 month Assignment

Our client is a global research, evidence and communications agency, specialising in providing services to public bodies to inspire public policies. They are currently looking to engage an Interim Head of Legal for a 3-6 month assignment in London.

In joining a lean legal team, the Interim Head of Legal can expect to assume a lot of responsibility and autonomy, reporting into the COO. The business is busy, fast paced and presents multiple moving parts. The role will be well suited to someone who is accustomed to working in a global business and brings a proactive and innovative mindset to the table.

It is highly likely that the successful individual will be qualified in England & Wales, have a strong in-house commercial career, gained within international organisations, and will be accustomed to advising on a full range of commercial, IP and employment law related matters. Prior experience in working with public sector clients would be of significant benefit as this role will involve working on and reviewing public sector bids and tenders.

The successful individual can expect to:

• Be the primary point of contact for all Legal matters and accompany discussions with clients and stakeholders
• Be responsible and accountable for providing high-quality and commercially sound advice on a wide spectrum of legal topics resulting from their day-to-day business across numerous entities
• Lead the research, advice and implementation of corporate structure changes to ensure a scalable and sustainable corporate structure as the business grows in complexity and expands internationally
• Maintain and regularly review key standard legal documents & templates such as client contracts, data and privacy policies, terms and conditions, NDAs, etc
• Advise on regulatory, compliance and other liability issues - including management of all external legal relationships

Due to an imminent start date, the successful interim Head of Legal will likely be immediately available or available at very short notice.

A hybrid working policy is in place, with 2-3 days per week in the London office required.
