IT Service Desk Analyst | 3 Month Contract | (Inside IR35) | Hybrid (Edinburgh) | Starting ASAP

Day Rate: £DOE

Job Description:

Harvey Nash's public sector client is looking for an IT Service Desk Analyst that will support the Director of IT and Facilities in the delivery of digital and operational services for the client and colleagues. They will be required to undertake day to day support of IT and facilities services for the clients team, collaborating with the outsourced 1st line IT help-desk team and office operations group to manage requests and incidents, including working with third party suppliers.

Main Duties:

  • Support staff with IT & Facilities activities such as new starter on-boarding, desktop equipment, local networking, building access control, telephony and video conferencing.
  • Assist in the development and operation of IT and facilities procedures and processes.
  • Contribute to IT service reporting and change management.
  • Utilise and maintain support knowledgebase to deliver consistent service and continuity.
  • Take ownership of individual incidents ensuring both response and fix SLA's are maintained to agreed levels escalating to management as necessary.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships across a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify continual service improvement opportunities.
  • Day-to-day maintenance of configuration management data for cloud solutions utilised.
  • Day-to-day monitoring of the configuration of cloud solutions utilised by the client using appropriate human processes and tools.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in supporting cloud solutions and access controls for differing SaaS (Software as a Service) platforms and 3rd party managed services, including the execution of joiners, movers and leavers processes.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Intune and Windows devices, supporting the resolution of common operational issues.
  • Maintaining process and procedures, working with 3rd party suppliers and identifying opportunities for continual service improvement.
  • Self-starter, comfortable with individual problem solving and asking for support where required.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of end user computing and cloud landscape for investment management organisations.
  • Experience of service management working within small and evolving organisations.
