IT Support / Helpdesk Computer Operator (m/f/d) Who We Are

The U.S. Mission in Germany is one of the largest U.S. Diplomatic Missions in the world, due in large to its vital geographical situation, and its political and commercial importance in Europe. The U.S. Mission comprises the Embassy in Berlin and five consulates in Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, and Leipzig and provides a wide array of services and support as well as playing a vital role in German American relations.
The U.S. Embassy Berlin is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Computer Operator (m/f/d).

Your Tasks

As the Helpdesk Computer Operator, you will be greeting customers and addressing issues with hardware and software, including password resets and mobile device support. You will also escalate tickets as necessary to system analysts or Washington representatives and offer IT Helpdesk support for all customers. Furthermore, you will assist the IT Director with various administrative tasks while serving as the primary Point of Contact for IT Inventories located within U.S. Embassy Berlin and U.S. Consulates in Leipzig and Hamburg.

Your Profile

You have two years (or completion of other equivalent post-secondary educational program or degree) of post-secondary education (vocational education, associate's degree or college/university studies) as well as either A+, Network+, MCSA, MCSE, CSMA, CCNP, CISSP, or equivalent.
You were able to gain prior work experience in general office support experience utilizing computers and software with experience in systems implementation, network administration, helpdesk technician, or desktop system support.
