My client is on the hunt for a skilled and proactive IT Support Engineer to join their dynamic team in the manufacturing sector. Based in Birmingham, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting abilities, and the capacity to work independently and under pressure.

Skills: Proven experience in an IT support role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and network troubleshooting. Basic understanding of server management, virtualisation (VMware), and storage solutions. Good understanding of network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and network security protocols. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support non-technical staff. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations.
