Job Description

  • IT Support (1st and 2nd line)

  • Bristol

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT-related queries.

  • Present a positive, professional image of the IT department.

  • Deliver efficient solutions within agreed processes and standards.

  • IT support for a wide range of users and stakeholders.

Routine Tasks:

  • Provide first and second level support to a range if users.

  • Quickly identify and assess support requests.

  • Categorise and assign requests appropriately.

  • Escalate issues when necessary.

  • Liaise with third-party organisations to meet business needs.

  • Adhere to IT controls whilst providing services.

  • Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving.

  • Support user acceptance testing.

  • Fulfil any other reasonable requests from your line manager.

Knowledge & Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven track record in user support provision.

  • Efficient in a busy, Microsoft-based and Mac-iOS environment.

  • Quick to learn and adapt to a wide range of IT hardware and software.

Desirable:

  • Recognised qualification in IT service and support.

  • Experience in IT help desk administration.

  • Experience in highly-regulated, commercial environments.

  • Knowledge of MS SharePoint and Google collaborative platforms.

Skills Required:

Essential:

  • Experience as an IT support professional across the 1st and 2nd line environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.

  • Ability to process information at an appropriate technical level.

  • Recognise business priorities and follow processes.

  • See improvement opportunities and suggest solutions.
