ZIB is the central IT service provider for the justice system in Lower Saxony and is responsible for a modern IT infrastructure with around 23,500 clients. Together with our 400 colleagues, we also run numerous digitization projects for a modern justice system. To strengthen our team in the area SG3103 - Networks, we are looking for the Celle location as soon as possible for a System administrator firewall and web gateway (f/m/d) Your tasks: As part of a 13-strong team, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration and administration of firewalls and web gateways in the Lower Saxony justice system. The Lower Saxony justice system relies on various manufacturers from the enterprise environment. As part of troubleshooting, you will carry out fault diagnoses and analyze them, if necessary also with the manufacturer. The tasks include in particular Operating, monitoring and troubleshooting the firewall environment at over 190 locations throughout Lower Saxony Operation, monitoring and troubleshooting of the central management systems and the distributed web gateway infrastructure Monitoring and fault clearance of the network transitions Ensuring network integrity, both in the access LAN and in the data center and WAN infrastructure Patch and release management for all system components Creation and further development of automated processes / creation of scripts Creation and implementation of technical concepts for the infrastructure Collaboration in innovative IT infrastructure projects for the justice system Visualization and documentation of project and work results What sets you apart: A relevant university degree (e.g. computer science) and at least two years of professional experience or equivalent skills and experience You have already worked in network administration and have very good knowledge of firewall, proxy/web gateway, TCP/IP, WAN and LAN networks. You are adept at analyzing network protocols using various tools You have very good knowledge of current security technologies, in particular firewalls, possibly also IDS and IPS systems. Good general knowledge of Linux and MS Windows Server, as well as MS Windows client operating systems is required. Ideally, you have already gained experience in the data center environment.
