Job Description
Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust

The posts are to support care for cardiology in-patients on the acute cardiac care units (CCUs) as well as cardiology wards. The posts will cover ward and some clinic duties.

The doctor will work closely with the Consultants and Specialty Registrars and will support the Cardiology team, Cardiac nurses, and Cardiac physiologists.

This post will cover a 5 in 7 day working pattern, 9am to 5pm with 1:5 weekend.

There will be ample opportunities for research and quality improvement.

Person Specification
  • Mb ChB, or equivalent
  • GMC
  • Completion of basic training in medicine
  • Three years experience in general medicine
  • Ability to manage patients admitted to cardiology ward and communicate effectively with supervising consultants
  • MRCP or equivalent
  • Experience in Cardiology
  • Desire to pursue a career in Cardiology
