Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The LAB Practice Area (PA) Talent Partner, Senior Manager will be part of the new LAB PA Talent Partner Team. Each of the team members acts as Talent Partner for 4-5 different Practice Areas at the LAB level, working closely with the LAB People & Operations Executive Director, PA nodes, and MDP leadership in each PA to tailor and deliver the People Agenda within these PAs. You will report to the LAB Lead PA Talent Partner Director and work closely with the other LAB PA Talent Partners to shape common approaches to the responsibilities described below.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
PA-aligned responsibilities
: Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to your 4-5 assigned LAB PA Nodes to tailor and deliver the LAB People Agenda within these PAs (with a focus on PPL level and above).
  • Tailor and deliver the LAB People plan within your assigned LAB PAs, working in close partnership with your assigned LAB PA Nodes; take into consideration your PAs' specific commercial growth ambitions, priorities, and current pyramid / capacity in tailoring these plans
  • Drive and manage capacity planning for your assigned PAs, including MDP pipeline, working closely with the Analytics function. Hold your assigned LAB PA Nodes accountable for strong people pyramids by defining sponsorship, creating platforms, and ensuring appropriate development opportunities.
  • Act as a strategic partner to your assigned PA Nodes on all people topics and as the first point of contact for all Senior CT staff (PPPL) within your assigned PAs on all People-related topics (incl. integration and re-integration plans), involving other People functions or escalate issues to leadership as needed.
  • Manage the PA affiliation process (as from C2), including developing and following up on integration plans for lateral hires.
  • Work with CDC to help identify PPPL development needs and training/coaching requirements
  • Prepare analyses and reports, e.g. performance reporting on key PA People KPI's, PA-specific People Survey results analysis, etc., to help shape and influence critical PA People decisions
  • Oversee and support the PA-level implementation of broader Global or LAB People-wide projects / initiatives (e.g., DE&I initiatives)
  • Promote well-being, mental fitness, and sustainability within the assigned PA; escalate issues to Node, Core HR, and Teaming coaches.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work culture within your assigned PAs to drive employee engagement and retention
Functional interface responsibilities: Act as the key interface for your assigned LAB PA Nodes and Senior CT staff within your assigned PA to the other System People functions:
  • CD: Jointly own career development and performance assessment for PPLs within your assigned PAs, ensuring CDA and CD Committees have full information and context for robust evaluation of individuals; attend PPPL CD Committee meetings
  • Staffing: Work with Staffers to ensure appropriate Pod alignment, specific staffing needs for PPPLs within your assigned PAs, weighing in on more 'high stakes' / high priority cases
  • Talent Acquisition: Jointly take responsibility for a joined-up view of PA capacity planning and senior CT recruiting needs
  • Core HR: Act as first point of contact for all HR-related issues (employee relations, well-being, immigration, etc.) within your assigned PAs, working with the Core HR team to address as needed
  • : Work with Teaming coaches to resolve wellbeing/sustainability issues
  • People Analytics: Work with People Analytics team to establish accurate, up-to-date data on individuals within your assigned PAs and create standard analyses / reports to facilitate People-related decision-making by PA nodes
PA Talent Partner Team responsibilities: Work collaboratively with the other PA Talent Partners to shape common approaches to the responsibilities outlined above.
  • Ensure consistency and fairness in People practices across various PAs. Shape and deliver a consistent cross-PA People experience for the PPL cohorts. Ensure fairness in the evaluation of PPLs across PAs.
  • Collaborate on PA affiliation processes to optimize talent distribution across PAs.
  • Define ways of working with the System's central functions (CD, Staffing, Finance, Analytics ).

YOU'RE GOOD AT

  • Managing ambiguity and setting an agenda, being self-motivated to drive day to day activities

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
  • At least 6-8 years of relevant professional experience including ideally in an international professional services firm
  • Strong HR qualifications and international work experience are a value-add
  • Excellent English skills (verbal and written communication)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving approaches (strong excel skills)
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders with reason and logic

You will report to the LAB Lead PA Talent Partner, Director and work closely with your 4-5 assigned PA nodes as well as the other LAB PA Talent Partners
