Lead Cloud Architect

Senior Cloud Architect required to join a large Microsoft Azure cloud migration program for a London based end user.

Senior position working as a principal lead reporting directly in to head of technology.

Permanent opportunity offering an excellent salary package - base salary up to £110,000 (dependent on experience), 30% bonus & benefits package.

Key responsibilities:

• Create designs for solutions and advising on options/alternatives/new strategies, patterns and practices and security
• Work with the Security team and technical teams on cloud architecture, security and identity
• Provide examples for infrastructure and application architecture using cloud-based services
• Facilitate presentations, demos, prototypes and show & tells
• DevSecOps advocate
• Maintain roadmaps and recommend changes to upgrade existing capabilities w.r.t non-functional requirements, such as security, scalability and maintainability.
• Technical Lead for key cloud infrastructure, API Management Identity Access Management platforms
• Vulnerability testing and security assessments
• Responsible for security-related incidents/events and provide a thorough post-event analysis
• Mentor and supports colleagues, attend or organise communities of practice centred around technologies or systems
• Present to the Technical Design Authority
• Manage requests for the Software and Services Approval Board, Due Diligence and Change Advisory Board.

Key experience required:

• Proven experience working in a similar capacity leading cloud migration initiatives
• Strong experience across Cloud Infrastructure, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS
• Expert level experience across Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Security Architecture and DevSecOps
• Relevant Microsoft and Architecture certifications
• Experience with API platforms and Identity Access Management platforms

• Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, ARM templates, Azure DevOps, Key Vault, Let's Encrypt, Application Gateway, Firewalls, Cloud Networking, VPN/ExpressRoute, noSQL/document databases/RDBMS, such as Azure SQL Server, MongoDB, Couchbase or similar
