YOUR ROLE
Our Ground & Rail Transport Centre of Excellence function have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Driver Trainer to join their Business Improvement team where you will provide crucial support to our O 'Licence operations ensuring individuals are appropriately trained with a focus on transport safety and legal compliance.
While this role is based at our Head Office, located in Ashby-De-La-Zouch, this role will offer hybrid working as you support UK operations, therefore individuals must be able to travel to support team and business objectives.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Head of Business Improvement you will be responsibility for the:
Design and deliver customised transport training modules for complex operational needs, either face to face or via teams' applications.
Mentor, manage and upskill Drive Assessors ensuring relevant accreditation, driver expertise and operational compliance.
Evaluate driver practices and support operations through audits, providing actionable improvements and implementing actions.
Facilitate incident analysis workshops to enhance proactive risk mitigation and management.
Collaborate with departments to integrate safety and compliance practices across the organisation.
Create and maintain training records to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Provide on-the-road coaching to reinforce driving behaviors.
Membership and attendance to Logistics UK and other Transport bodies initiatives events to keep abreast of latest rules and regulations to convert into training materials to deliver
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in this role you will hold a C+E Driving License and have prior experience in a training role with a good understanding of the transport industry, including transport rules and regulations. You will ideally hold an NRI Certification; however, this is not essential.
It's crucial that you have participated in developing training materials and feel at ease presenting to large groups. Experience in effectively interacting with drivers to foster a positive culture and enhance their driving habits is also important. It is also important that you have proven experience of using telematics, tachomaster, DVSA, and government web-based platforms related to CPC and O 'License materials.
Given the demands of the role, being skilled Microsoft applications, particularly Teams, PowerPoint and Excel, would be beneficial.
