Hourly Rate: £15.28ph + £2.52ph additional night rate between 18:00 to 06:00 + £19.86 subsistence allowance per day + £8.81 food allowance per day.

Days of Work: Monday - Friday
Start Window: 12:00 - 21:00

Job Description
The role of Class 1 Relief / Tramper driver entails the critical responsibility of executing bulk collections and deliveries between various DPD sites and customers nationwide. The position requires operating a modern fleet on an agreed shift pattern, delivering palette loads to HGV-friendly locations.
Key responsibilities include:
Undertake a minimum of four nights per week away from base, utilizing secure company locations for overnight stays in the vehicle.
Operate within a designated region surrounding the base depot, ensuring efficient route management and timely deliveries.
Maintain strict adherence to all road safety regulations and company policies while operating heavy goods vehicles.
Ensure the proper handling and security of all cargo during transit and at delivery points.
Accurately complete all required documentation, including delivery receipts and vehicle inspection reports.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
Promptly report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or delivery issues to the appropriate supervisors.
Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with customers, representing the company's values and standards at all times.
Participate in mandatory training sessions to stay current with industry regulations and company procedures.
Demonstrate flexibility in working hours and routes as required by business needs and customer demands.
The role demands a high degree of responsibility, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and customer service excellence.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
Valid UK Class 1 Driving Licence
Minimum of 12 months Class 1 driving experience
Valid UK Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) Card
Valid UK Digital Tachograph Card
Demonstrated ability to load and unload trailers as required
