Linux Engineer

Linux Engineer (Senior) vacancy for our Emmen based client in the energy sector.

Your tasks:

• Developing, managing, and maintaining Linux systems
• Managing VMware SAN storage and data backup systems
• Leading and executing system migrations from on-premises to cloud platforms
• Collaborating with stakeholders to evaluate and implement IT requirements
• Improving system performance and efficiency at Axpo
• Providing technical expertise in shaping and updating ICT architectures

Your experience/knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of IT operations, system engineering, and security services
• Expertise with server environments like VMware, Azure Arc, or Azure Stack HCI
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform and GitHub
• Extensive experience with Linux Servers, containers, and cloud platforms
• University degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a focus on Linux, storage, and backup systems
• Language skills: English - fluent, German - conversational

Your soft skills:

• Excellent comprehension skills with attention to detail
• Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams
