Job Description

Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager

Location: Warrington

Salary: Dependant on experience

Job type: Full-time, Permanent.

About us:

McLennan Group, a 30+ year family-run Warrington based business is actively seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to contribute to our rapidly growing HVAC department in 2024.

The role:

The applicant should have, proven experience in overseeing and managing national HVAC/Mechanical contracts, strong commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets, tenders, and bids.

Work examples.

Fitouts, Refits, Maintenance Contracts within the Retail, Office, and Leisure Sectors.

Minimum skill Requirements.

  • Good Knowledge of Air Conditioning and Heat Recovery Systems
  • Ensure contractual obligations are met, while maintaining high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop and grow existing contracts through performance improvement and relationship management.
  • Identify and tender for new remedial contracts to expand business portfolio.
  • Monitor contract performance, financials, and KPIs, ensuring profitability and adherence to budget.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure efficient scheduling, resource allocation, and compliance
  • Regularly liaise with clients, addressing any issues or concerns to maintain strong relationships
  • Provide accurate reports on contract performance, progress, and financials
  • Ensure contracts adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations

Qualifications/Experience required:

  • CSCS card
  • Full driving license.
  • City & Guilds Level 2 Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (Desirable)
  • Heating and Ventilation Knowledge including Air Handling and Ducting Systems
  • 3 years' experience in related role
  • CAD knowledge advantageous
  • Prince 2 or equivalent (Desirable)
  • Enhanced communication skills
  • Time management skills
  • Leadership qualities

Candidates may have experience or relevant job titles of; Construction Project Surveyor, Building Contracts, Procurement Manager, Property and Facilities Manager, Construction Projects, Projects Manager, Construction Contracts Manager, Contracts Coordinator, Contracts Specialists, Contracts Officer, Construction Contracts Officer, Tender Manager, Property Maintenance Manager, Facilities Manager may also be considered.
