Medical Directors CDG3 - Women's, Children and Young People

We are looking for experienced medical leaders for CDG3 for Medical Director roles who are interested as Medical Director for Women's, Medical Director for Children's and Young People, or someone who can lead as Medical Director for both.
The role includes providing leadership and direction to the hospitals and overseeing the management of all resources and staff within the Clinical Delivery Group (CDG) of women's services across the three hospital sites of Heartlands, Solihull, and Good Hope.
The Medical Director position involves becoming a member of the Hospital CDG senior leadership team, working in partnership with other CDG Medical Directors to deliver the safe and efficient functioning of women's services aligned to the corporate objectives and the accompanying clinical strategy.
Lead the delivery of national maternity requirements/plans ensuring the vision, values, and strategic themes of UHB are integrated and that delivery is focused on improving outcomes and experience for women using our services.
Has delegated accountability and responsibility from the Chief Medical Officer/Board for ensuring professional leadership and governance of maternity services and ensuring that delivery is focused on improving outcomes and experience for women using our services.

Job responsibilitiesMedical Director for Women's:
- Work with the Hospital Medical Director, Clinical Service leads, Director of Midwifery, Head of Midwives, and Triumvirate colleagues to ensure the service meets all internal and external requirements relating to Maternity services.
- Develop, lead, and manage key quality metrics identifying areas for improvement and the mitigation of risk.
- Engage with teams to establish a learning culture that continually improves the outcomes and experience of women and their families.
- Establish and build effective networks, contacts, and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to inform and influence improvements in service delivery and outcomes.
Medical Director for Children and Young People:
- Work with the Hospital Medical Director, Clinical Service leads of Paediatrics, and other relevant teams to ensure that the service meets all internal and external service requirements.
- This role involves transformation and reducing health inequalities.
Medical Director for Women's and Children's & Young People:
Someone who has experience to lead for both Women's and Children's and Young People.

Person Specification Qualifications- Qualified Medical or Dental professional.
- GMC or GDC registered.
- Experience in either medical education or clinical governance.
- Unblemished registration with GMC.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Clinical background of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
