I am currently recruiting for a leading Insurer who are seeking an Underwriter to join their growing team.

My client is looking for an experienced Medical/Life Underwriter with at least 5+ years experience who has experience Underwriting Life, Critical Illness and Income Protection. The ideal candidate will have strong connections with Reinsurers and Adviser firms. This role can be worked out of the London, Stockport or Bournemouth office on a hybrid basis or can also be worked remotely.

1. Evaluate applications based on the companies underwriting principles and standards
2. Assist and guide brokers in navigating the underwriting process for applications
3. Coordinate with reinsurers to ensure smooth placement of business
4. Provide training to sales teams on underwriting procedures
5. Approve applications from junior underwriters
6. Contribute ideas to enhance underwriting and service offerings
