Position Overview:

Merchandising Execution Project Associates (MEPA) will support in-store activities by performing in-store merchandising service activities such as merchandising projects, planogram maintenance, overhead organization, and display/signage maintenance designed to enhance the customer experience. They are primarily assigned to projects and must ensure they are executed safely, accurately, and efficiently. The MEPA works with on-site supervision and provides service to multiple departments in the stores. The MEPA must build and maintain strong relationships with store associates and provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers. The MEPA typically works weekdays mornings.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and Execute Projects
    1. Plan the execution of merchandising projects working with store leadership and MET Supervisor.
    2. Plan for the time and number of associates needed for project and work with MET Supervisor for approval.
    3. Read and interpret directions to ensure merchandise is set to the planogram, project instructions, and general service guidelines.
    4. Ensure beam elevation changes are compliant with set standards.
    5. Build displays and fixtures using basic hand tools.
    6. Maintain, order, and install display material/signage/brochures.
    7. Provide regular updates on project status to MET Supervisor.
    8. Report deficiencies in Compass to cross-functional teams to ensure quick resolution to deficiencies.
    9. Capture correct hours worked in Compass.
  2. Merchandising: General Service, Tasking, and Packdown
    1. Read and interpret directions to ensure merchandise is set to the planogram, project instructions, program service requirements, and general service guidelines.
    2. Straighten, clean, and merchandise product to ensure merchandise is presented in a visually appealing manner.
    3. Maintain a copy of the most recent planogram inside the upright beam adjacent to the product set.
    4. Follow directions and processes to conduct accurate price and label changes. Replace incorrect, damaged, or missing price labels.
    5. Maintain aisle cleanliness.
    6. Utilize store systems to access key merchandising reports. Read, interpret, and execute actions based on findings.
    7. Maintain bay service records and other documentation as directed.
    8. Execute one-off projects as required by store, district, and regional leadership.
  3. Customer Service
    1. Maintain aisle cleanliness so that merchandise is accessible and customers can move throughout the aisles easily.
    2. Answer questions regarding the store and products for the customers.
    3. Partner with store associates to find necessary products to fit the customer's needs.
  4. Other
    1. Partner with store representatives to conduct inspections of returned and damaged items for Return to Vendor.
    2. Follow standard operating and safety procedures.
    3. Complete assigned training curriculum.
    4. Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

  • Working within a set schedule that typically starts early in the morning.
  • Warehouse environment that can be dusty and noisy.
  • Doors are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes.


Minimum Education:

  • GED
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.


Minimum Years of Work Experience:

  • 1 year of relevant working experience.

  • Experience in SAP - Score platform preferred.
