Family run, independent, innovative mixed animal practice in Wrexham

A fantastic opportunity has arisen at an independent Veterinary Practice group based in North East Wales/Cheshire. Our client is looking for a new or recent graduate Veterinary Surgeon to join their family at their practice situated in Wrexham, North Wales.
You will be joining a team of 8 Veterinary Surgeons with a wide range of expertise including orthopaedics, cardiology, ultrasonography, soft tissue surgery, feline medicine, and ophthalmology, 6 RVNs, and a number of SVNs. This friendly and supportive team work really well together to help provide the best care for their clients and patients.
This RCVS accredited practice offers many up-to-date facilities including an in-house laboratory, x-ray equipment, ultrasound scanner, operating facilities including orthopaedic equipment, ultrasonic dental scale and polisher, and much more.
As a new or recent graduate, you will have a dedicated GDP advisor who will help and support you. Consultation and operating days are shared out equally amongst the team so usually Vets have a minimum of 2 operating theatre days per week. Initially, you would have a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to stand in with you during operations to provide support and mentorship.
The Rota:
- Full-Time role - 41 hours per week
- Every other Saturday (8.30am - 1pm) until you feel confident with sole charge consulting and then rota will change to 2:5 Saturdays
- 4-day week (8.30am - 7pm) with a set day off
- 15-minute appointments with scheduled breaks and a set lunch hour
- No OOH
The Benefits:
- Salary - £31,000
- 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
