Night Security Officer

Exciting security opportunity in the historic city of York! Securitas, a global leader in security services, is in search of a dedicated Night Security Officer to join our team. This role offers 42 hours per week on a well-balanced 4 on, 4 off night shift pattern.

As a Security Officer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of a prestige shopping centre in York during the night hours. The 4 on, 4 off shift pattern provides a consistent and structured schedule, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

• Ensure site/business safety through overnight monitoring and proactive security presence
• Respond to alerts, monitor CCTV and fire alarm panel
• Conduct area patrols, lock up and sign in contractors
• Maintain records and complete paperwork timely
• Handle crisis and emergency situations confidently
• Fulfil additional duties as requested by the line manager
• Demonstrate good communication, customer service and a strong work ethic, being friendly and helpful

• SIA Licence
• Driving licence - Desirable but not essential
• Access to vehicle/good transport links
• Able to reach the site within reasonable time period
• Minimum of 1yr Security experience
• Valid RTW and 5yr checkable history
• Friendly and approachable
• Hardworking
• Smart appearance
