6 Month Contract
Location: London (Hybrid)

Lorien's UK leading Pensions and Insurance firm are currently looking for a highly skilled Non-Financial Risk Director to join the team on an initial 6-month contract.

Skills:

• Experience in working at a senior level within a financial services organisation.
• Ability to understand/interpret the regulatory requirements to new or ongoing business situations, including knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
• Ability to motivate, direct and develop staff at different levels, to work individually as well as in a team environment.
• Sound judgement and ability to know when to escalate and when to seek internal or external assistance.
• Strong management, leadership, and team-building skills, with the ability to communicate compliance issues in a non-technical way to senior teams and other employees.
• Effective communication and report writing skills.

Knowledge:

• In-depth knowledge of the UK financial services and regulatory framework including Data Protection and Anti-Financial Crime legislation and regulation.
• Significant knowledge of business systems including outsourced arrangements for financial services organisations.

Experience:

• Credibility and experience at Board/Management level.
• Experience in the management of Information Security risks, including experience in digital developments and associated risks.
• Experience in technology control models, e.g., COBIT (Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies) or similar.
• BSc/Degree in Statistics, Actuarial, Economics, Business Administration, or any related discipline.
• Experience of working in COO or similar role.
