NTU International A/S Senior Transport Expert

NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EU funded project called: Technical Support for the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor Coordination Platform and is searching for experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project.

The main objective of this contract is to advance the sustainable development of seamless transport connections between Europe and Central Asia and within the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor.

Location: Astana, Kazakhstan.

Duration: The intended start date is 1st May 2025 and the period of implementation of the contract will be 36 months from this date.

️ Qualifications and skills:

• Master's degree (or equivalent diploma) in transport, economics or any other directly related disciplines. In its absence, the Master's degree can be replaced by a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent diploma) plus 2 years of professional experience, in addition to the minimum professional experience required by the profile;
• Good knowledge of transaction processes for International Finance Institutions and of development aid delivery methods and programs.
• Good knowledge of the EU transport policy and legislation, and the transport dimension of the Eastern and/or Southern European Neighbourhood Instrument countries4 and/or Central Asia. In particular, knowledge of the transport dimension in Central Asia will be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of transport dimension in Central Asia will be considered an asset.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills demonstrated by past professional experience (refer to specific experience in publications, drafting of analytical reports, preparation of communication products, speaking engagements, etc.);
• Excellent computer skills.
• Languages: C1 knowledge in English; B2 or higher knowledge of Russian will be considered as an asset; B2 knowledge of Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Tajik, Turkmen or Uzbek will be considered as an additional asset.

• At least 12 years of general professional experience in the transport sector, including related policies and best practices;

️Specific professional experience:

• At least 7 years of professional experience in assisting developing countries in the transport sector;
• Professional experience in the transport sector in Central Asia will be considered an asset.
