Nursery Manager - South Hornchurch

We are seeking an additional Nursery Manager to work alongside our current Manager, supporting the daily operations of our busy nursery! The ideal candidate will have leadership experience and will be committed to providing high-quality childcare. Strong communication skills are required to liaise with both staff and parents, ensuring a comfortable and nurturing environment for the children.

Fledgelings Day Nursery is a family-owned network of 4 nurseries, for over 35 years we have been providing children with the very best nursery education. This Nursery Manager position is based at our South Hornchurch Fledgelings setting which opened in 2022 and currently holds the capacity for 65 children, although we have imminent plans of expansion in the coming year. We have a fantastic outdoor space and have playrooms designed to give the children a vast range of learning opportunities and experiences, all to give them the best possible start in their lives.

Duties

  • Lead and manage the nursery team, promoting a positive working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to early childhood education.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents, staff and outside agencies.
  • Oversee daily operations, including staff inductions, reviews and ongoing training.
  • Organise training and professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills in childcare practices.
  • Safeguard the children in our care, with the appropriate training and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Experience in early childhood education or childcare settings is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and understanding their developmental needs.
  • Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the quality of care provided within the nursery setting.
  • Experience in managing a nursery

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday

Pay: £31,200.00-£33,280.00 per year
