Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this position is 12 hours, days, nights, weekends.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team within the Institute of Neurological Sciences, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Health Care Support Worker to join our team within Ward 66. It is essential that you have previous experience of working in a surgical ward.

You must be able to demonstrate:

  • a commitment to patient-centred care
  • continuing professional development
  • an understanding of our service
  • and the specific needs of our patients (or a commitment to learn and develop these skills).

You will demonstrate flexibility, and a willingness to participate in service progression and growth. The ability to work effectively in a team is essential.
