Hitachi Rail's French entity is strengthening its teams and recruiting an Operations Director M/F on a permanent contract, for its Les Ulis site (91) - head office.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned operational leader with a track record in the railway industry. This role will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring seamless execution of our business strategy.

Accountabilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Define and implement the long-term strategic and operational direction of the supply chain, including flow, stock, and procurement planning.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain and logistics processes.
- Monitor procurement processes, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement and harmonization of practices.
- Participate in strategic supplier negotiations and the implementation or renewal of framework agreements.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee annual purchasing budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and monitor procurement activities by product and service category.
- Coordinate and align supply chain activities with internal stakeholders (projects, sales, production, purchasing).
- Monitor the operational implementation of supply chain action plans and make necessary adjustments.
- Provide procurement expertise during tendering phases.
- Interface with the Finance dept.
- Interface and monitor the company's QHSE policy.
- Oversee facility management activities to ensure employee well-being and safety.

Education/Qualifications
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in supply chain management and procurement.
Languages
French & English fluency.
