Job Description

Job Title - Ophthalmologist

Location - Birmingham

Salary - Up to £120,000 DoE

ACES is an independent provider of NHS eye care outpatient and surgical services delivered in the community. We support the NHS with state-of-the-art technologies, providing patients with the highest standards of clinical care. Our services include Cataract, YAG and SLT Laser Treatment, Glaucoma, Oculoplastics, Vitreoretinal, and General Ophthalmology.

Due to expansion, ACES has exciting new opportunities for Ophthalmologists to join our supportive team in Birmingham. This is a great chance to join a growing business and benefit from our fully funded training and development programs.

You will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team working alongside a range of sub-specialists, providing timely care to patients. Responsibilities include:

  1. Carrying out virtual and general outpatient clinics.
  2. Conducting pre-operative and post-operative glaucoma consultations.
  3. Assessing the suitability of glaucoma patients for treatment.
  4. Managing patients according to group clinical directives and national policies.
  5. Undertaking SLT laser clinics.

We seek Consultant Ophthalmologists with experience in YAG & PI and performing a range of procedures for glaucoma patients.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a consultant ophthalmologist.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be confident and organized.
  • Be willing to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
