Oracle HCM Developer

London - Hybrid Model

£600 - £650

We are currently looking for a dynamic individual to join our Development Practice as an Oracle Developer, delivering key projects across our Front Office change team. As an Oracle Developer Embedded into the project team, this role involves migration and consolidation of entity data amongst different banking entities.

The Role:
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Oracle PL/SQL scripts, procedures, and packages to support Front Office applications.

  • Design and implement database solutions for credit risk and market risk technology projects.

  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and document user requirements.

  • Perform data mapping, validation, and transformation between Oracle databases and other systems.

  • Optimize Oracle database performance for pricing and simulation models, ensuring accurate data inputs for market and credit risk analysis.

  • Support the migration of entity data across banking entities, ensuring data integrity and consistency.

  • Collaborate with project management and third-party vendors to define delivery schedules and validate updates.

  • Develop and execute testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and UAT phases.

  • Ensure seamless integration of new database processes into the production environment.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with technology risk, analytics, and Front Office teams.

Key Skills and Experience:
  • Extensive experience with Oracle PL/SQL development, including writing and optimizing complex scripts, procedures, and packages.

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle database performance tuning and optimization.

  • Familiarity with Oracle tools such as SQL Developer, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), and Oracle Enterprise Manager.

  • Knowledge of market and credit risk concepts, particularly Potential Future Exposure (PFE) calculations.

  • Experience with data mapping and validation for financial systems.

  • Strong understanding of database design, normalization, and indexing for high-performance environments.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with business and IT stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of Repo and SBL products is advantageous.

  • Strong business analysis and project life cycle knowledge.

  • Experience defining and structuring test plans and leading UAT phases.

  • Solid communication skills - both written and oral.
