Job Description

As a Global Partner Consultant you're part of a high performing team, creating new and innovative ways to connect people and fashion. You belong to a portfolio and you execute the portfolio strategy. You acquire relevant new partners and you support our live partners to achieve meaningful and financially sustainable growth and delight our customers. You will do this across a diverse set of brands and other partner types, leveraging your entrepreneurial drive to target, consult, educate and sell complex solutions and act as a trusted advisor to the partner to embrace Zalando's platform strategy, adopt Zalando's platform services and leverage key technologies. You will do this in tight alignment with the Zalando Strategy and Zalando stakeholders. You will also contribute and lead in relevant strategic projects with significant KPI impact, that will help us shape the Zalando value proposition for our partners.

Leverage your entrepreneurial drive to target, as well as a clear and empathic communication style to educate and consult partners of medium and high level of complexity and impact to embrace Zalando's Platform strategy, adopt Zalando's Platform Services and leverage key technologies. Generate profitable growth for a defined set of partners in alignment with the Zalando group Strategy and within our compliance landscape. Your brands are part of a defined Category / Portfolio where you will build expertise.

You acquire for our platform the most relevant partners that are not yet live in Zalando. You use your live business experience to create business cases and attractive pitches that match the Zalando USPs to the partner needs.

You leverage your strong analytical skills to analyse data and create insights to enable internal stakeholders or to autonomously cultivate existing partnerships to make sure they can take full advantage of our growing suite of service offerings to maximise the ROI of our platform.

You do not only support the senior team members and their decision-making by collecting information and preparing the decision-making but you also act as their sparring partner.

You liaise and align with internal stakeholders to develop clear partner roadmaps by working cross-functionally. As such you translate our assortment and market strategies into partner actions with the aim to increase end customers satisfaction. You follow through with operational excellence when executing such strategies.

You work together with Product, Operations and Tech to ensure that partner feedback is transformed into innovative solutions.

You troubleshoot and improve our current processes. You also are able to create processes for problems that arise and turn them through project management into widely adopted solutions for your team. As such you support your lead in coming up with new ideas and business opportunities.

You show end to end responsibility for a defined set of partners. You therefore are able to streamline each partner request and need to the right team and processes. Thanks to that we are able to operate efficiently at scale.

You maintain CRM excellence within your partner portfolio that ensures we have the best data and insights to derive strong decision making.

You start to participate in hiring, demonstrate first coaching skills and support junior as well as senior colleagues in their onboarding journey. You develop best practices based on your experience that the team can use to optimise their work.

Core KPIs you influence: Net merchandise volume, Profitability, Services adoption (Marketing and Logistics services), Customer convenience, Customer Lifetime Value, Partner satisfaction.

Experience in a marketplace environment and/or a consultant/business development background with a passion for the Fashion and e-commerce industry, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience.

You are a salesperson, analytically outstanding, you love working with figures yet taking a pragmatic approach to complex requirements and issues. On top of this you should have experience with process improvement and automation; product experience is a plus.

You have excellent communication skills and can manage stakeholders effectively. You are fluent in English and any other language is a plus. You are confident in interacting and presenting independently, presenting to various stakeholders effectively, and you have strong negotiation skills.

You are a self-starter who will take ownership of projects and business problems to a successful result.

You drive inner unit growth plans independently - from structuring and defining a roadmap, through identifying growth opportunities to translating these into sales.

You have passion for creating meaningful success stories and experiences for Zalando partners.
