The position is related to the research project Endocrine Economies - The Cultural Politics of Sex Hormones, which is funded by the Velux Foundation's core group program: and the Center for Gender and Diversity (Center for Køn og Diversitet): Information about the Department of Cultural and Language Studies (Institut for Kultur- og Sprogvidenskaber) can be found at We seek a postdoc to study hormones into the realms of transgender healthcare and investigate the Danish cultural and institutional frameworks that inform the use of hormones in trans and queer bodies possibly in an international context. We are especially interested in more qualitative and exploratory methods such as art-based methods of body mapping to help explore the bodily experiences of hormones including the practices of micro-dosing and community imaginaries of DIY-hormones that negotiate pharmaceutical and industrial logics. Application, salary and conditions of employment The employment as postdoc is temporary. Employment stops automatically by the end of the period. An upgrade of pedagogical qualifications is not part of the position. Thus, employment as postdoc cannot stand alone as a qualification for later employment as associate professor/senior researcher. A letter stating your specific interest, motivation, and qualifications for the project (400 words). The assessment report will subsequently be forwarded to the Head of Department who will assemble an appointments committee. An interview may form part of the overall assessment of the applicants' qualifications.
