Job Description
Overview

Expleo is a leading Global Engineering Services Provider with UK presence in 10 locations. We are seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to work with our client hybrid at their site in Stevenage delivering support to analogue and electro-mechanical design solutions. Ideally, the successful candidate will have technical lead experience.

We are looking for an energetic and driven engineer with broad expertise; however, candidates with military and/or aerospace experience would be of particular interest.

This role represents a great opportunity to work within a multi-discipline team, contributing to the security of the UK and our allies. Valued attributes include being a team player who can use their initiative and has a real passion for engineering with an attention to detail, combined with a thorough, methodical approach.

There may be the opportunity to visit/work at the client's Bolton facility.

Responsibilities
  • Reviewing design technologies and performing trade-off studies.
  • Schematic capture, simulation, and worst-case circuit analysis.
  • Producing and reviewing technical documentation, including manufacturing packs and test procedures.
  • Developing the technical solution in liaison with other skill domains.
  • Running and coordinating the resources to deliver the project tasks for skill area.
  • Applying the relevant Client development methods & processes.
  • Coordinating and supporting technical problem-solving & analysis.
  • Defining and supporting verification, validation, and certification.
  • Conducting hardware testing.
Qualifications
  • Engineering Degree (or equivalent qualification) in relevant engineering discipline, with significant demonstrable experience.
Essential Skills
  • Experience working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams to deliver activities on a range of project types.
  • Demonstrable experience in covering a variety of tasks across a range of complexities.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines.
Desired Skills
  • Strong experience in power and analogue electronics. Motor control would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of the electronics design process and product lifecycle.
  • Production of professional and concise technical documentation.
