We are looking to recruit specialists at various levels with strong experience in the UK and internationally to support our team and projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build capacity in circular economy and waste and resources-related service line activities.
  • Work with Engineering and Design colleagues.
  • Develop and strengthen client relationships, winning new work to build team capacity.
  • Deliver and manage projects in line with budget, time, and quality requirements.
  • Prepare bids, proposals, and peer reviews as part of the expansion of our UK and international capabilities.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with other offices, teams, and geographies.
Requirements:
  • Extensive sector experience in a consultancy in the UK and/or internationally.
  • Strong client focus in the UK and worldwide, bringing commercial awareness.
  • Good appreciation of trends, policies, and drivers across the circular economy, waste, and wider sustainability sectors.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and experience working collaboratively with a range of technical specialists at different levels.
  • Be highly self-motivated, possessing strong enthusiasm and commitment to delivering sustainable outcomes.
  • Be flexible, adaptable, and prepared to take on new tasks and work from other Atkins or client office locations. We anticipate the need for periods of travel - including overseas.
  • Have strong report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of standards and methods in the circular economy and waste management sector.
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator with the ability to present with confidence to a wide range of audiences and communicate technical concepts simply and clearly.

  • Highly motivated and proactive; focused on achieving and delivering technical excellence.
  • Strong technical performance.
  • Skilled at collaborative working, have good relational skills and an ability to communicate effectively.
  • Flexible and prepared to take on new tasks.
  • Well organised; able to multi-task with multiple projects running simultaneously, or multi-disciplinary environment contributions to mega-projects.
  • Attention to detail and desire to work to high standards consistently.
