Principal Recruitment Consultant - Real Estate & Property

Basic: c. £50-70k

OTE: c. £150k+

Responsibilities:
  • Warm opportunity to identify and appoint Permanent and Interim professionals within the Real Estate space.
  • Join a professional, knowledgeable and established team.
  • Work with a mixed portfolio of clients and access to live roles.
The Person:
  • You've now reached a stage in your recruitment career where you want to work amongst specialist peers who share your passion for the Real Estate and Property sector.
  • Ideally, you are an established recruiter with a strong track record of working with clients and a network in any of the following: Real Estate, Private Equity, Construction, Property sectors.
  • OR you specialise in Senior Management and Board Level roles such as Surveyors, Land Directors, Sales Directors, Construction Directors, Operational Directors, MD, COO, CEO level.
  • A strong business developer with the ability and drive to build your own desk.
  • Ideally, you bring a network of existing clients/contacts and candidates in the relevant space that you can refer to after any restrictive covenants have passed.
The Company:
  • A privately owned £14m turnover business with a great deal of financial stability.
  • A great brand with a history and track record that spans over 30+ years in business.
  • Operating across 6 key verticals, they focus on mid to senior level, offering clients Contingency, Retained, Full Executive Search, and Interim services.
  • Typical contract rates are £500-£1500 per day and Permanent salaries of £80K-£150K (and beyond).
  • They describe themselves as "10 foot wide and 1,000 feet deep", with each consultant specialising in a sector or niche vertical.
  • They understand the time it takes to build an executive/senior candidate desk and are happy to provide support and time to do so.

The Role:
  • Sitting within the Real Estate and Construction Practice, operating at senior management/executive level.
  • The division is organised into 4 main verticals: Residential Development, Commercial/Mixed Use, Property Investment/PE backed, Retail & Leisure Real Estate.
  • Typical candidate salaries fall around £70k to £200k (not unheard of to reach £230k/£300k), with c30% retained and 70% contingency on an exclusive basis.
  • All Consultants are 360 and have the flexibility to dual desk (Permanent and Contract/Interim).
  • Join a mature, collaborative, and experienced team placing Property/Construction talent at the Senior level.
  • Established billers are achieving £400k to £600k, with support from the Director to establish yourself and make your first placement.
  • New individuals joining have an established consultant to collaborate with, share tactical guidance, and get things moving from "day one".
