Principal Consultant, Integrated Health Solutions (m/f/d)

A Day in the Life

Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) team members are seasoned professionals with in-depth knowledge of the healthcare value chain, as well as a breadth of experience across multiple disciplines. This role will cover the DACH (Deutschland (Germany), Austria, Confoederatio Helvetica (Swiss Confederation) region and is a remote role. Your home location is the primary work location, but you will be required to work onsite in client partnerships across the DACH region regularly and attend a Medtronic location for meetings from time to time.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Partnering with strategic Hospital accounts to drive complex transformational change, implementing innovative growth strategies, streamlining patient care pathways, and optimizing operations.
  • Influencing key stakeholders by developing well-articulated situation analyses, financial estimates, and business cases for change.
  • Identifying, framing, and prioritizing initiatives to capture value. Establishing a project roadmap and developing actionable plans to drive improvements and cost savings.
  • Managing full end-to-end projects and performing day-to-day coaching and mentoring activities for the service delivery team.
  • Periodically preparing portfolio reviews of the partnership program with the steering committee to track status, progress, and measure economic value and customer satisfaction.
  • Driving implementation, coaching, and developing local project or staff resources.
  • Capturing learning and best practices and continuously enriching Medtronic consulting toolbox.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Master's degree in relevant functional area
  • 4-6 years of experience as a consultant from a top-tier consulting firm or high-end healthcare consulting firm
  • Extensive experience in the healthcare environment and in dealing with hospitals' C-suite/Senior Management stakeholders
  • Demonstrable program management skills: planning, coordinating, communicating, influencing, relationship building, achieving milestones, resolving issues, and managing risks
  • Strong people management, coaching, and mentoring skills
  • Fluent German, Excellent English
  • Willingness to travel within DACH (up to 70%)
  • Demonstrated ability to operate from idea generation to strategy development through detailed implementation and results delivery
  • Experience in how to work and communicate in an international corporate environment.
  • Toolkit with generic consulting skills especially problem solving
  • Distinctive people management skills with a strong team development and coaching ethos
  • Thorough knowledge of the decision-making process within the healthcare system
  • Other language skills are a plus

There is a Measles facility-based immunization requirement for this position. Therefore, full Measles immunization is a requirement to fill the open position.
