Principal Electronics Engineer

Overview

Expleo is a leading Global Engineering Services Provider with UK presence in 10 locations. We are seeking a Principal Electronics Engineer to work with our client at their site in Stevenage delivering support to analogue and electro-mechanical design solutions. Ideally, the successful candidate will have technical lead experience.

We are looking for an energetic and driven engineer with broad expertise; however, candidates with military and/or aerospace experience are of particular interest.

This role represents a great opportunity to work within a multi-discipline team, contributing to the security of the UK and our allies. There will be the opportunity to visit/work at the client's Bolton facility.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing design technologies and performing trade-off studies.
• Schematic capture, simulation, and worst-case circuit analysis.
• Design & development.
• Systems engineering.
• High-speed digital network.
• Requirements development.
• Solutions focus for digital network issues.
• Verification and validation.
• Systems reviews.
• Integrating systems in a network.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant engineering discipline, with significant demonstrable experience.

Essential skills

• Experience working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams to deliver activities on a range of project types.
• Demonstrable experience in covering a variety of tasks across a range of complexities.
• Good communication skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines.
• In-depth circuit knowledge/analysis fault finding.
• SciCAD.
• Mathcad.
• MS Office.
• LTspice.
