Prison Security Escorts for HMP Guys Marsh. Monday - Friday, overtime available, £11.44 p/h plus holiday pay

We are recruiting a number of Contractor Security Escorts to work on a new expansion project at HMP Guys Marsh. As an Escort, you will be required to escort contractors around the site of Guys Marsh when they are on site carrying out work. As part of this, you will be in charge of checking contractors, their tools and vehicles upon arrival to make sure they comply with HMPPS rules and regulations.

Purpose of the role
To ensure the safety and security of the contractors, staff and prisoners during periods where large building contractors are carrying out work on site within a HMPPS establishment. You will also ensure that no unauthorised persons or items enter the establishment/ building site. The Role/ Duties

• Checking in contractors and their tools
• Searching vehicles
• Searching Contractors
• Supervision of contractors while on site
• Patrolling perimeter and grounds
• Searching buildings
• Routine administrative work
• Carry out any other tasks that may be asked of you

This is a long-term contract opportunity, with projects lasting upwards of 3 years for hard-working and reliable candidates.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday minimum of 37 hours per week. Hours may vary depending on when contractors are working, but as typical hours are roughly 7:30 - 4.

What you'll need to succeed

• No formal qualifications are required
• Successful applicants will ideally have a background in customer services or security
• All applicants must be able to provide details of 2 satisfactory references
• All applicants must have indefinite leave to remain in the UK.
• All applicants must be willing to undergo security clearance and identity checks.

Training

• Full training is provided by the establishment/ department. Training time will be paid at the standard hourly rate.

What you'll get in return
Hourly rate is £11.44 per hour plus hourly holiday pay, taking the overall rate up to £13.10 per hour for all hours worked.
Uniform will be provided and there is free parking on site.
